Invitation to the National Research Ethics Meeting

‘Research ethics across scientific disciplines’

Members and affiliates of ethics review boards are cordially invited to attend the kick-off of the collaboration between NETHICS and NRIN with the interactive symposium ‘Research ethics across scientific disciplines’. In the last decade, ethics review of scientific research has become commonplace and local ethics committees have been installed in most faculties and institutes.

The collaboration between NETHICS and NRIN aims to bring together human research ethics committees across scientific disciplines and provide a platform for discussion and sharing of best practices.

We invite you to join us for the first step on 14th March 2024, when we organise an interactive symposium for research ethics committees across non-medical scientific disciplines to meet and share ideas.

Program

The program ‘Research ethics across scientific disciplines’ includes:

  • Presentations of existing ethics review platforms (in social sciences, humanities)
  • Expert presentations and discussions of key issues in ethical review of human-related research with active participation of the audience
  • Introduction of plans for a Netherlands Research Ethics Platform
  • Ample opportunity to connect and network


The program includes a light lunch in the beginning and drinks afterwards.
